Dear Parents,

Conseil scolaire catholique Providence and the Parent Participation Committee are pleased to invite you to a virtual information session on the latest findings about cannabis and its effects on youth health.

The webinar will be offered in English on May 5, starting at 6:30 p.m., via the Microsoft Teams platform. You can join us by simply clicking on this URL link. Registration is not required.

The topics covered in this session will include information about current regulations, the prevalence of cannabis use among young people, its potential effects on their health, impaired driving as well as effective parent-child dialogue. In addition, participants will have access to a range of useful resources in French and English, and the session will conclude with a period for questions and discussion.

By the end of this information session, participants will have a better understanding of the effects of cannabis and vaping on their children's health and will be able to have an open dialogue with them in order to reduce the risks associated with the use of these substances.

You will not want to miss Ashleigh Atkinson, a Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU ) specialist who is working with us to promote a healthy and active lifestyle for our students. You are also invited to check out relevant information about cannabis and vaping posted on the WECHU web site.

For more information about this webinar, please feel free to email Karen Trotter at [email protected].

Don’t forget to mark this date on your calendar!
